| AnkeneyOU,I would suggest, as I always do, that you should always buy the kit version and build it yourself. The major advantages of assembling it yourself are that you:
1.) Know that the heli was assembled correctly the first time. There have been several people complaining about incorrectly built ARF models, and if even one cap screw isn't loc-tited right and backs out the result could be catastrophic.
2.) Know exactly how everything goes together so that when you have to repair it (and you will) you'll know the difference between what's bent and what isn't and how best to fix it.
I would say that an ARF model is better suited to an experienced builder and pilot who can identify problems with the factory assembly immeadiately and is too lazy or rushed to build it himself.
