I know it has been tried, never heard of anyone succeeding (though someone probably has??), here's proof it can be done. Click here for some video of an inverted HB. I shot this at the LHS, one of the employee's there had gotten bored and had an extra HB to play with.. As you can see by the video what happens when you get bored and have an extra HB and some spare time. Got some more video too if anyone wants to see it.. No sound BTW and look carefully it's there... I didn't get permission to say whom or where so you know who you are speak up if you want!

Correct.. The blades are upside down, and the polarity of the motor was reversed and the motor was retimed to run reversed. Same for the tail motor (Not retimed). All the controls were reversed so it would fly like it was right side up. The neat part was that you could pretty much not make it hit the ground without completely killing the power to it. Oh and it is definitely not CP, I think I have a still of it close up, I'll see if I can find it and post it.
