I have a 4s4p 8000 lipo, I ran it in a recommended by flying 5 min flights with 15 - 20 min breaks in between.
Flew it just hovering for a few times after this and it seemed ok.
Last few times I have flown I flew around fairly agressivley for about 10 mins and went home, when charging the pack took around 4000ma which I though to be about right.
I flew the same again today then when I got home I put a DVM on it and ran at hover pitch untill I was down to 12.5v, it took 3 mins so a total of 13 mins.
Problem is the charge took over 3 hours and still only put just under 4000ma back in, The charger was set at 14.8v and 2.5a, it does get all the way to 2.5 and then ramps down slowly so all looks ok.

I am using a triton charger, does this sound like a problem with the charger or is my nearly new lipo knackered after only a few flights.
I was thinking of going to see if I could get a shultz charger in the morning but if the battery is at fault there isn't much point

if you do some searching on the triton you will find people are having problems with it.
for charging that big of a lipo, i would get a charger capable of more amps, shulze and astro flight have nice chargers. robbe is supposed to be releasing a new charger with lipo ability.

i know two people who were having the same problem you were, i charged there batteries with my astro 109 and it solved the problem.

there is some settings in the charger that might need changed to charge lipo's right. read over the instructions and see if you come up with anything..

My guess is the batts are OK ..they're either OK or not in which case they wouldn't charge.

My Schulze puts in 4-5A and tho' I can't make head nor tail of the instructions it seems to charge em up OK in about an hour (4S4P 8000maH) tho I'm now waiting for a motor to run my 8S2P
