| A few weeks ago, I talked to someone who works for thunder tiger. He is the point of contact for heli related items. From what he said, thunder tiger was planning on upgrading the 30 Raptor with new boom supports (same type as the 50 and 60), new clutch and few other items to make the heli even better. Some of these improvements are already standard on the new 50 kit. I built one a few weeks ago and I noticed that the clearance on the clutch shaft was much tighter which eliminated the up and down play on the main gear. The clutch bell was also thicker which reduced the clearance between the bell and the clutch. The new clutch bell has a shallow grove on the outside to differentiate it from the old one. He also mentioned that TT might is also considering a different shape canopy. One that is more aerodynamic. This machine has diffinitely matured in the last few years. I fly other machines but somehow I always go back to the Rappy. |
