Never heard of it but if you really want a progran that will work for you try to do AutoDesk programs like AutoCAD.

Consider Rhino3D and Solidworks as well. Both excellent programs. Solidworks is THE standard in engineering analysis in relation to solids. Rhino is an excellent free-form solid modeler using NURBS. I would reccomend either of those over AutoCAD if you want to get into CAM work.

Rhino's big advantage is that it is geared towards making shapes that aren't definable with common basic shapes. How do you model a shoe for example...

In helicopter world most of the parts are readily designable in almost any CAD package, so fear not. Any program that will output an IGES, STL, or DWG is probably good enough.

Thanks, John Cadwell

Ashlar Grahite for flatout 3D drawing

I have tried most every real cad application out there. Ashlars Graphite is the best thing going for fast 2D/3D creation. Burt Rutan has used it for years.
Download the trail version... It is fully functional and it comes in a MAC version for you wingers out there.

NOTE: I was the QA manager for this software some years ago and I still use it today for rapid 3D drawing. Next week I will cutting my first set of carbon frames for me Sceadu Evo.
