My new Hacker 48-03 went up in flames

I cant figure out what made it short and catch fire, could it be from a bad solder joint?

any ideas

Is the large white tye-rap that I see used to hold the esc to the motor heatsink???

The fins vibrate their way through the heatshrink and instant short when they first hit the circuit board of the esc...

If that's the way you had it mounted, very bad idea...

It may be the piece of $hit Hacker ESC. Too coincidental for two different flyers in two different states. I also had a brand new Hacker ESC which, was a DOA. Had a Hacker ESC in one of my planes and it too was bad.

Mine caught fire yesterday in a Logo 10, identical way. Almost burned the whole heli.

I'd go with Kontroniks or Castle Creations from now on.

By the way, Jetti and Hacker are the same. Both POS. Some of you folks are more lucky if they work for you.
