Hi all,

What should be the startingpoint with the needles on the type II carb for the TT36?

I also got the old one ( main about 2,5 and idle 1,5)but i believe that the later version was about 3 turns on the mainneedle am i right?

I also have the original manual from my first TT36 but i believe that it has other settings then the later version of the Carb...

I've got a TT46 in my XCell 46 Graphite. It's extremely finicky, but once I've got the mixture set for the current temp, it reall cranks!

Air temp is the problem with that carb. My OS engines require much less attention. Here in Ohio, temps can vary 30 degrees from day to day.

I've had to reset the mixture on the TT carb for nearly every flight.

I was told by ace that with the new carb, that between three and four turns out would be good. I called them when mine wouldn't even start at two turns out like the manual says. They have not updated the engine manual to account for the new carb. Mine is running closer to four turns out. It runs great. I did put a small piece of fuel tubing over the main needle because I'm not sure how well the o-ring seals it at four turns out. Good luck, these are tricky engines to tune correctly.
