e-JR Voyager E > Is Astro 020 adequate???

A month ago I purchased the Astro and CC45 setup for the Voyager E from Astroflight. After about 4 flights the motor seized. I sent it back for repair and three weeks later I received the unit back with a replaced bearing and rotor. The problem now is that the motor still gets very hot and does not have as much power as the stock setup! I am running an 8 cell pack (3300 NiMh) with a 16t pinion. Could there be any settings on the controller that could be set incorrectly?

Add a couple of cells or try 3 lipos. Brushless motor need voltage.
