Hello,

I have to get more juice into my dynatron to turn over that os. 91 mounted in my fury. Any ideas appreciated. Maybe a car battery with more amps or a 24 volt system?

I just pop the hood and use my car battery. Had to upgrade to a Sullivan starter though.

Power

Many of us in our club have started to use the Dynatron with 14 or 16 car cells so they are portable. You have to charge them every time you fly. I now have the fuel line clips, it's the last thing I do before a start and the first thing I pinch off after the flight. Not having the hydro issues to complicate the starting problem is the first step, once broken in they are much easier to handle.

3 x 6v 7aH Gel cells work just as fine as most of the guys at competitions use them

Another very good source of flight line power is the new "jump start" type battery jumpers. These things have plenty of power to start anything! They can be picked up for from between $30 and $100.
I have been using one exclusively for two years now and I cannot do without it. Mine has 1000 cranking amps and can start a large truck. I charge it with a supplied wall pack overnight and use it for my field chargers, starter and my vehicle at the end of the day once I have left the hatch open and the radio on! The charge usually will last for a month or two.
One thing to look for as a feature is the cigarette lighter type connections, mine has two on the front. I just put heavy duty cigarette lighter connectors on my starter and field chargers and plug 'em in. That way I do not have to undo the heavy cables!

Hope this helps!
