PM me, we can talk about it. I currently have some time freed up myself, since I had an inflight failure of an electrical component......and my gasser is out of the fight for a while.......

Spoke too soon about the heli world. They messed up and send me wrong crash kit.Boom and torque tube are about 1 inch shorter.Probably different model of predator. It does fit and 700 blades will still clear tail blades. Can I use it?Think it'll be a problem?

Yep...

the crash kit is sized for the P=max glow series.....there is not a "gasser specific" crash kit put together at this time.....(DON'T ask me how I know ).

The GOOD news is this....your gasser will be JUST FINE with that boom and tube.....720's and 115's even......

question. there seems to be some resistance in the drive train between the crown gear and the tail rotor. it rotates, but not very smooth. jumpy to be exact. when i have the tail off the rotor head runs smooth, and the same for the tail when apart from the main gear it spins smoothly. so i guess the gear mesh it to tight? if so how can i loosen it. after idling a bit. it seems better, but not quite there yet. is this normal?

I would like to add something to the suggestion box to do while building the PG...

Put a wrap of tape (electrical, for example) around the boom at both ends before putting it in the mount and tail gearbox. If you don't it will start twisting in short order. Mine seemed fine when I built it and made it almost through a gallon before it started twisting.

> so i guess the gear mesh it to tight?

That certainly sounds likely if each is nice and smooth independently. It should wear in once you get it up to speed for a bit.

clyde's gasser

"Foxden"to you guys but Clyde to us here in Port Charlotte .I had the pleasure of flying his newest machine, very well finished, super job of building! It flys so smoothly and with almost unbelievable power.A lot of research and prep. has gone into this ,his fifth new machine in less than a year. The excuse that you guys can use is it's so cheap to fly.We have only filled the tank about half way each flight and there is always somebody that takes over when each of us stops.I'm saying that on about a half a tank three guys can have a seperate blast and there seems no end to the fuel.I told Clyde to upgrade the receiver battery before we loose power during one of our marathons.Great choice Clyde, and you should take pride in your skills!

yes, clydes newest adition to his fleet, is deifinitely an excelent model. He puts half a tank in it, and it goes for 20 minutes (at least) and all the guys line up to fly it! I did stationary 4 point rolls, and its altitude never changed, like the nose was stuck in place. Now all I gotta do is get one for myself...

Howdy Bill

Yeah, the guys are all standing in line taking a number to fly my new Gasser SE, I opted for the Hansen 26 after talking with AGRAV8 for many hours on the phone.

Capt. Kaiser just finished building his but, we ended up with the wrong Stator Gator so we won't be able to give his a try until next weekend, We're all looking forard to finally meeting you at the Mulberry FF, and I'm hoping to get Mr Flemming to come down as well, should be a fun time with all the Predator Gassers there.

Agrav you would not beleive.
Fixed up my predator today, took it out on the street just to hover it make sure everything is OK,so I can finaly have some fun tomorow.
Everything was good, when suddently something happened ,like it went into fail safe,Engine reved up,no responce to TX.
Cut the freacken boom off and busted blades.20 sec. of flight after 2 weeks of waiting for parts and fixing.
I swear I had tears in my eyes.
God deffinetly don't like me and my gasser, but my wife does. When I came inside the house almost crying and told my BEAUTIFULL wife ehat happened, she said" Why don't you get a good heli and stop fixing all the junk".
I saw a light at the end of a tunel,so I'm getting another gasser.I'm looking at one in For sale section and one on ebay, but I also have bug up my a$$ about SE with 260 HM on century website. Can't make up my mind.
Most importantly with new baby coming into the world and building new house I'm not exactly drowning in funds ,but what the heck is VISA for ,right?

Sorry to hear that valerko.

>,like it went into fail safe,Engine reved up,no responce to TX.

If it went into fail safe, why did your engine rev up? Did you not set the throttle fail safe to idle or kill?

James,

I'm suprised you haven't posted a pic of your Gasser after the Heli Heat Wave. A lot of guys may not know what the inside of a gasser looks like!

It's also probably shaved a little more weight off that 12 pounds you are trying to lighten up. That must have been like a "kick in the nuts" when it crashed, huh? Have to let me know when it gets "fixed" Just kiddin...

I do actually have a question, and since I'm too cheap to make a long distance call, here it is.

What gear would you reccomend if I did eventually want to mount a video system obn the Gasser? I still want it to be versatile for regular flying (no extreme 3d stuff, on purpose anyway).

Send me some pics when you get it put back together with the "goodies" I sent you, I want to post it on my website.

Hmmmmmmm

for "sport" and some camera duty I would use a 231 with 6.28 gear ratio's (stock) and 720's. On the modified 26, I would go with a 90 tooth main (6.42) ratio.

As I am finishing out a buildup for a "customer"......(actually, he is gonna pick up the tab at the ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER BUFFET when I get done ) I will then get on MY heli.....all my parts have arrived, including the SNIZZLE from your website......

Will get a couple of photo's while I get 'er done....no doubt it is gonna get some folks "excited".....

Will hope to have it in the fight again for NEXT weekend. I am observing a NO FLY WEEKEND in respect to those guys that could make it to IRCHA.......and those entertaining inclimate weather in Florida............

Man,

I was just waiting for the "don't you have two heli's in peices right now?" comeback. Thanks for not "busting my balls" as Tony Soprano says.

Did you and Raymond ever figure out why nothing but the GV-1 would work on his gasser? I was just wondering so I had the right peice of hardware at the house when I put my order in. I have both the GV-1 and a Throttle Jockey Pro with the accessories, but it seemed Raymond was havin' some trouble with the Jockey...
