| John, its impossible for it to stabilize the tilt/pitch axis having it place as you can see at any Airfoil mount. The rotating disc have no effect in the same direction they are rotating. If it turns around the Z axis, then the X and Y will be the only ones affected the same way as over a bicycle wheel. Any motion in the same plane of "Z" will not be affected)
You can only damper two axis by each kenyon unit so you must choose which ones selecting different kenyon positions. Then you will need to use flexible transmission on each axis you want to damper to allow the gyro work like a damper and still have control over them. This is apparently easy to do with roll+pan and a bit more complex (not too much) over the tilt axis.
Can use two kenyon units to control all three axis like some camera operators do, but that means double weigh. |
