I try to put the liner in but I can't put the clutch back on . I bought a new clutch and liner but used the old clutch bell. Is there a trick to put in on?
Thanks

The liner is supposed to be trimmed in a lathe after installation to make a perfect fit.
You can send to to MA and they'll do it for you.

If u want to do it urself, u can use a drill press....kind of a vertical lathe..at least it works for me. I have tried a few methods for shaving it down, but damn that liner is tough. What I have used lately is my dremel with a carbide studded cutting shaft (robart-fine) running. Just keep the shaft and bell perpendicular..has worked well last couple of liners I did. I tried sandpaper on dowels, but didn't cut well enough. Any other ideas?

I just changed the clutch on my Fury.
Simply glued it in with JBWeld, then when dry sanded it down with set&dry stuck to a 10mm dowl.
Worked just fine.
First run then engine bedded the clutch in just nice.

Any method that doesn't leave a perfectly true cilinder will make the clutch shoes flex back and forth breaking the shoe off at the pivot point due to metal fatigue a-la-Raptor. That's why it's important to have it precisely ground to exact specs.

Lathe Alternative

I had a liner that was a little tight. I chucked the clutch on my drill press and spun it at low revs while I sanded it with a medium drum on my dremel tool. Worked very well....
