I got a great deal on a Nexus .30 with a Futaba 6VH. It was new, its owner only hovered it once. I got it from a guy that buys used helis and fixes them up and sells em. He started it up for me and tuned and setted it. Its got a 6VH and a 301 gyro. It was $430 but this guy also threw in a gallon of fuel, voltwatch, 1100mah JR rx batt, blade balancer, training gear, and a glow plug ignighter! Great deal.... I'm really excited.... I just ordered all my support gear from towerhobbies and heliproz. How is Heliproz? Is their shipping and support ok? Also, I'm thinking of getting Realflight G2 Lite sim. I don't really care that its the Lite version. Heliproz is the only place that has it in stock and its $130. This is a pretty neat hobby.

bought my Sceadu,engine, radio, and almost all my after market items from them. If I have ANY questions they are more then happy to help. personaly, Ive had nothing but GREAT service from them. As a matter of fact, another order from them should be here monday

Sounds like you are just about ready to go. The flight sim is a great idea. It will pay for itself ten fold. Is there a heli group in your area to help you get started? You are going to enjoy this hobbie

Yeah, theres a club not too far away and the guy i bought it from says I could come up and fly with him and some friends. I also know a person thats into helis and has a Raptor and MS hornet. Is the RealFlight G2 LITE version any good? I know the regular G2 is awesome but dont hear much about the Lite.

I'm not very familiar with the Real Flight G2 Lite. I do have the RF Deluxe and am very happy with it. Any sim will help and save you $$$$'s. Also, having heli flyers in your area will also help a great deal. So kick the skids and light the fire and enjoy.

Before you spend the $130 for the real flight lite, you might shop around. I have a buddy who has bought the full blown version off here for only around $100. At least that way you get more helis, more options, and you can play online.

There is usually a realflight on sale once a week or so.

i bought the lite version because heliproz is out of the full version, no regrets, all the extra options would probably be tempting to mess with when im supposed to be learning how to fly =) the lite version has two heli's the trainer .30 heli (Impala) is a great one to fly around. There is an upgrade in the works to upgrade the lite version to the full version, in the future i may buy that. if you can find the full version, go for it. other wise, the lite version is fantastic. im running it on my laptop with a 32mb video card and it is GREAT! you wont have any problems with it.
