Well I got my XRB today, was flying her around...already set up the flybar for "expert" and was flying circuits and generally yanking and banking in the living room...but after a bit I noticed the tail wasnt holding and I started not being able to control the tail....Landed and lo and behold 1 inch of the blade had shaved itself off on the tailboom....slapped new B blades on and gave her more hell...and did the same thing...Is it just cause I'm flogging the little tike (IE Its an XRB-ism) or is it my fault on the set up/ tuning procedures....

It depends on how much you toss around your XRB? If you really move it side to side fast the blades sometimes hit each other and the tip goes. Not much you can do about it. If it's a clean break of the blade I use some sticky tape and tape the tip back on, it flies fine again.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Ive had the same issues with the occasional shearing of the B blades tips when i was first learning to fly my XRB and I wasnt being as gentle with the stix as I should have been.. the problem has basically worked itself out as I got more comfortable with the handling.

I also ended up putting a set of CF B blades on while leaving the A foamies...never had a problem since!

The blades will hit each other if the cyclic inputs are made too aggressively with too light a flybar weight.
