e-Lite Machines Corona > Corona Project - waiting for components

I purchased a used Corona. It came with three Hitec servos installed. 2 HS-81s for rotor control and an HS-85 MG for tail rotor control.

I have ordered:

1. berg5*DSP receiver
2. Futaba GY-240 gyro
3. GP3300 NIMH (7 cells) battery pack with Deans Ultra connector
4. SUPERNOVA 250S Charger

Undecided on motor. Looked at the Astro 020 Corona package and the Mega motor for the Corona.

Need a Deans Antenna

Suggestions? Am I missing anything? Best places to purchase? Thanks for any advice or info.

Hey Bob , If your like me and donn't like down time spare parts are always good . They are cheap and they won't spoil . I like to keep at least one of everything , gears , blades , z-links and other connectors .

Hey bob, looks like your off to a good start. I've been buying seperates and have those exact items you listed. I went with the Hacker motor, but there's a lot of choices. All I need is an antenna too--and to figure out how to operate my radio. Hobby shop around here is sold out-so ordered one online. One thing you might want to consider is buying the AC/DC converter so you can also charge your battery packs at home wall outlet with the Supernova 250S. I ordered one through Dymond.com, for $37.00, with the supernova, looked on the internet to see exactly what converter they sent me. I found out it was a discontinued model, thought they sold me a piece of junk. So, I called the manufacturer who told me it was discontinued, but it was a very good charger and for 37 bucks, it was a great deal. I tried it out, and it works fine. Good luck with your heli, Steve.

I am having a hard time finding the Astro 020 package for the Corona. I even contacted Astroflight and they said they are waiting for parts.

I was thinking of either using a spare computer power supply or picking up a power supply from Radio Shack for the charger.

I am also thinking of using the Dean's mini antenna. Mike Roffee has them in stock.

Bob,

Do a search on ebay for the "Cosel power supply".......$24 and you can set it from 3-14v and up to 14amps!!!

Alot of guys are usin em on another R/C forum I frequent!!

Best bang I seen so far, I am gettin mine to use with my Trition and at 14amps it should do all I would ever need.

You can also use it to power anything around D/C,gadgets,etc

The first one I looked at, $24.50, said used but in good shape. Did you get a used or a new one?
