| I haven't, I'm not sure what you'd really gain, other than making an already fragile cable even weaker. I know what you mean about it dragging a bit, especially on carpeting. When I'm flying in the living room (Quiet!, the wife doesn't know I still do that! ) which is fully carpetted, I normally launch then climb almost to the ceiling. that way the cable extends out almost fully and hangs directly underneath. Then, when I reduce altitude, it coils loosely directly under the XRB, giving me a bit more room to manouver without dragging the cable around to a new position from take-off.
It isn't much, but it is noticeable and helps
