| I bought the Taig full package. Looking back, I would have ended up with a nicer machine if I had bought the CNC ready mill and added my own drivers and motors.
The expensive part is not the machine, or even the CNC hardware, it is the tooling and software. After you have a machine that works you still can't do jack if you can't tell it how to move, and make it move into something you want to cut that is held down right. You also need all the support equipment to make the machine usable. (table, computer, vacuum for chips, some kind of coolant setup)
The Taig is a great machine that does some of what I want to do. A CNC router might be a good addition depending on your priorities.
