What happened???

Do you know what happened?

Also, do you know what the blades are made of, or how they're made? It almost looks like, from the picture, that there is some sort of fiberous material involved on the long blade.

Yes I know what happened but I'm not sure if the results of the investigation have been released yet to the public so I can't really talk about it. Sorry......
The blades are made out of cabon fiber and a honey comb material in the center. There is much more to the blade but that is a basic description.....Click on the link for more crash photos of the 46

Your link does not work........ And there is not ANY video of the crash that I posted the picture of, You maybe talking about the one that crashed behind the boat after getting caught in the safety netting... That was a not the same one......

Sorry, still cannot get it to work. Just says something about not being a member..I wish I could see it so I could make sure I'm thinking of the right one. I think I know the one your talking about,, But it got caught in the netting before it rolled over and went into the water..

Yes Naomi it works now, sorry to say.............
The helicopter got caught in the net..If you look close at the left main mount you will see what caused the crash.. It had nothing to do with dynamic tip over..

It really saddens me to watch that clip knowing that lives were lost in that crash.. I fly as a crewchief in those type A/C so it really hits home seeing that knowing that the crewchief died there He went back in to try to get people out...I think 7 died....Just wanted to give you a little more info on that one......


PS. I was doing boat ops when this occured and was kinda nervous about flying after seeing that.......

Hi Todd,

I know this wasn't a very pleasant experience especially when this kind of accident happened right before your eyes.. My heart goes out to those families who lost their love ones. Especially at this time of the year, I am sure those who lost their family members in this incident, would suffered quite a great deal. Again my deepest condolence to the bereaved families.

My Midwest 27% Extra 300s is powered with SupreTigre3000 (Already been discontinued by SupreTigre ) Has a couple of flights, she sure had plenty of power. I have the video of the flight as well. currently she's resting while (don't know for how long ) I am getting ready for the next season of Heli....

My Extra 300s colour scheme fashioned after 1995 patty wagstaff's paint scheme.. I love scale stuff... My Medium Airwolf fuselage will be arriving in a few days.... can't wait to see what i do with it yet. heh heh.
I was thinking of using my x-cell mechanic on it but someone said it's not designed for scale bird???!! I guess what he meant was not enough cooling i supposed.... mm.. what if I makes a few more cooling openings... would that help.... either that. I might considering their skyfox mechanic on that wolf... less modification... besides I know Beavis of UK.. he has one with X-Cell mechanic on that wolf.. I might consult him what kind of mod he had on that Airwolf...
