I am having trouble with a JR500 gyro in my Voyager. I replaced a JR460 gyro that work fine. Now with the JR500 gyro the tail will move rapidly back and forth. The 460 did not do this. I have the gain down to almost zero and the ball is as close to the servo as possible. The gyro is mount in the standard place under themast. So, I was wonder if anyone is having better luck with another gyro.

Try moving the balls farther out on the arms!

Moving the balls in, is like turning up the gain.

Probably the mounting location.


I had problems when it was mounted there (Futaba 401) and after moving it to the rear of the chassis, no more problems.

I use GY240 in combination with the S9253 servo and it's perfect!

same as voyager.
GY401 mouinted in front: very bad with interferences everywhere.
I put a small plate behind the central axle and that's perfect....a MUST!!

I moved the ball in toward the mounting screw to decrease the throw. How are you mounting the gyros to the rear of the chassis? Do I need to buy different mount?

I used an old servo disk and mounted it behind the main shaft.

This is my first attempt at an image so I hope it works.
