Hey guys, Newb to Electrics here

What do ya think about the Astroflight 020 (803HCM) in a Corona?

And does it already come with the Electronic speed control?

I have flown everything from Gassers, to the Lite machine110 and I got the Electric bug

I want to start out on these halfway right so hit me guys!!

Much Thanks

I really like my Astro 020 in the Corona. It flys great on 7-cells and there is power to spare. It's a heckuva buy for the money and it's made here in the US.

The 803HCM is the motor only. The 803HC is the motor and ESC package. The ESC in the package is a Phoenix 35 from Castle Creations.

Shotgun,

You may also want to take a look at the Mega 16/15/3 and CC Phoenix 35. This is also a popular setup amongst Corona owners.

At $159.95 for the package it's pretty cheap, although I think the Astro comes with heat sink as standard.

See here for info on mine incl a video of it flying.

Astro and Castle

Carefull on the controllers that come stock from Astro. Yes they are made by Castle but are striped down and do not allow a lot of programming functions. All of the ones I have been stocking lately are using the Castle full featured Phoenix 35 that has the ability to use Li-Pos (voltage select) as well as the other programming functions. The new Phoenix link is also now out and gived you the ability to load the latest software as well as set all of the functions in a nice graphical interface on your computer.
The Astro 020 Corona is a really nice motor and looks great to. I just wish they would build more.

Speaking of Cliff at Atlanta Hobbies..........

He can take care of you guys needing a Cornoa and not being able to find em!!!

He is priced right and very helpful and has all the parts you need at competitive pricing!.

He actually split a kit for me so I could order the basic kit without motor and took time to set me up right!

Good price on the Mega Motor and NEW Phoneix too!

Thanks Cliff
