Hi,

Just wondering if anyone is using this pack in there Logo 10 ?

I'm thinking of getting one, whats the flight times like ?, I'm using a C50-13L and 15 pinion so I don't get that long a flight 5 mins using a 2400 (12cell) and maybe 7 mins with a 3300.

Would it be a worth getting one ? Could I get 30mins with it , 3 ten minute flights would be nice.

I have just got this pack for my logo 10, It came well packed and looks nicely put together.
It wouldn't fit in my logo though, I had to open up the frames by about 3-4 mm.

only been hovering to run battery in but with a fun 600-17and 16t(I think) pinnion I got about four 5 min flights with a bit of messing about in between.

I was a bit worried about running the pack too low but it seems to drop into ground effect well before this.

Overall so far I am very impressed and hope to get 20 -25 min flights.

Hi
My flightpower lipo's are great,
Perfect tight fit in the frames (you wouldn’t want to take them out for every charge),

We got 22 min's a couple of weekends ago with small video/downlink equipment attached, so I would expect at least 25 min’s without,
Still haven’t done enough time testing due to windy Sundays & work commitments.

Les (Benz19) brought his logo to our field with new flightpower lipo's - wow!! hotter motor than mine - the power seemed awesome and seemed to run forever.

Will update this & previous thread once timed a few more flights.

Hi David,

Yes i'm always on Logomania excellent site very helpful, I'm using a C50-13L with a 15 pinion at the moment so I will probably need to drop a pinion or two with Lipo's.

Just got a heatsink for my Hacker B15-14L motor, $15.50 from CHRC.

Do Flightpower packs fit into the Logo 10 or not, was it that they didn't and have now brought out a slimmer pack that does, just?

Hi guys,i too am running the flight power 4s4p packs and have to say that are a different world to nicads, the performance and duration is fantastic!!

Im running a Kontronic 600-18 motor and 14t pinion and can easily get 25 mins of eratic flight and hovering, eratic as i have not yet mastered this fine art!!!

The service from Julian at Flight power uk is second to none,i also had a Schultz charger and 40amp power supply and these products are also first class.

Happy flyin!

well i would reccomend that anybody with lipos charges their packs out of the model. The safety is worth the hassle. You packs could catch fire and destroy your model. Several guys have lost there models because of this and not to mention a guy who lost his Lexus SUV when his pack caught on fire in his truck.

Dr Lodge - They brought out a 4s4p pack first but because of the hard plastic casing under the heat shrink it didnt fit inside the logo10 frames so they made the (slim) pack especially for the logo 10, still with hard casing but not as wide.

Dee - Did you widen the frames to allow easy removal of your pack?
How did you widen it? - put some washers between the 2 bottom frame bolts?

I Can't understand why my pack did not fit but as to widening the frames. all I did was to remove the bolt just in front of the landing gear at the front, undo the 2 front landing gear bolts, elongate slightly the holes in ths front landing gear hoop to allow the bolts to still fit when the frames are opened up, then I put about a 3mm piece of carbon tube between the frames and put a slightly longer bolt through the frames and carbon tube.

hope that makes sense

My pack now fits neatly and is easily removed for charging

Did you have to widen the frames at the back as well ?

Even with the bolts out and the frames open it's a very snug fit, do you think it will effect/damage the pack ?

Did you drill the actual landing struts or the frame ?

I was using the carbon battery support with nicads is this required with the Lipo pack as it has the hard plastic in the pack ?

Also do you still use the original rubber loops to hold the pack in place as they are bloody hard to stretch over the pack, again not sure if they will damage the pack ?

Sorry for all the questions.

Cheers

Simon.

No didn't need to widen them at the back.

with lipo's being in a soft pack I dont think it is a good idea to try and squash them into place as it will probably damage them.

I drilled or elongated the holes in the landing strut.

I am not using a battery support, the support in the pack seems to be strong enough.

I am using elastic bands to hold the pack but I think some velcro loops would be better,

About 100mm, I was worried myself but I guess thats the reason they strengthen the pack.
