| Unbelievable, I bought a used Rap 30 on ebay, and have been flying it for about a month now. So tonight I am looking it over on the work bench and notice the blade grips just feel sloppy to me. So I take it apart to see if something is wrong, and low and behold, one of the outer races of the thrust bearings is gone. The inner bearings of that thrust bearing were ridding up against the main grip bearing. No damage, just loose.
Moral of this story, if you buy it used, check it out thoroughly. You never know where it has been. |
