My cd burner is having trouble reading cd's. It will read most but for some reason, unknown to me it will NOT recognize the Diablo 2 LOD disc when I go to run the game. It will however work fine for installing, setup, and looking at the disc. Its just really annoying. Any tips? Thanks

if you have more than one cd drive, try the other for running the game. some games need to use the lowest drive letter. If you've only got one drive then turn the disk over, put it on your desk and use it as a coaster

What does it say when you try to run the game then? is it an original disk?

Have you tried re-installing the game? If you were having trouble with more than one disc I might suspect something else, but if it's just with Lord of Destruction I would try to re-install.

Ah k its windows 98, it had 2 cd drives but one died about 3 days after waranty died. Its an hp so the drive letters are all f'ed up anyways. I reinstalled last night and it ran good, then today I try to play and it doesn't work. It is original, one of the only legal games I have actually. I'll try using the other LOD disk I have if I cna find the thing. Wish me luck

It's not going to work.

A lot of games put a bit on the CD past the read write area and then have code check for that bit upon loading. There are also various other tricks in place to accomplish the same thing.

Create an ISO image on your HD and see if that will burn correctly. if not what are you using for software? I've had nero work where easycoastercreator won't.

Good luck, keep an eye on the number of disk you ruin, at some point it will simply get cheaper to go buy the game (keep track of your time too, unless you value yourself at 5cents an hour you are better off buying the game already)

or go to www.gamecopyworld.com and get the no cd crack. You already own the game and have it installed so I can't see any reason why it won't work

Good idea, I'll see if I can find one. Oh and you were right the other cd didn't work. I don't wanna buy it because the game isn't that good and I already bought it once

I found a nice no cd on blizzhackers.com so I played for a while, now I remember why I quit. Good ol unstable servers. Anyone on here play diablo 2 lod anymore? Maybe I'll just sell off my old accounts for nitro money

i have a level 82 and a level 83 barb, a level 50 necromancer, level 47 druid, level 48 barb, and some assorted low levels that suck on battle.net useast. dont play much during school but over the summer thats all i have to pass the time.
