Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > Flaw in Tail Rotor Pitch Setup

Hi guys
I test flew my new 3DNT yesterday - hover only, but I can see its going to be an awesome machine. Main problem was that when the tail rotor pitch slider is exactly in the centre of its travel (with 7 mm travel available each way) the rotor blades have zero pitch. I would have thought that the "neutral" position would have needed 7-8 degrees of pitch to yaw the heli in the direction of main rotor rotation - and that the "control" travel would then be 7 mm either way from this neutral position. That's the way it was with my Vigor CS for example. I've changed it so that I have about 7 deg pitch when the tail servo is centred, but now only 6 mm travel right and 8 deg left. This seems the best compromise that I can see, but gives more tail rotor power in one direction than the other. Any comments?

Thats what you should have...

Need less power with the torque and more power against the torque

Thanks for the reply Galifrey.
But the setup described above gives me less power against the torque (6 mm travel remaining) and extra power with the torque (8 mm travel). I could reduce it to 6 mm each way I suppose but don't like to give away this influence. Cheers, Martyn

Post a pic of your tail, sounds like you have it setup wrong...

In fact you must have...

I just measured mine and I have 8 degrees at centre stick (right nose) about 30 degrees (full right nose) and 25 degrees (full left nose)

Cookie bear,

Just added the 2003 tail blade holders to mine and the pitch control ring has to face indent out.. if you fit it the other way rounf (like older 3dnt's) then you cannot get the pitch travel correct
