Just another thaught , how do tandem helis , like the real thing or the Hirobo Vertol achieve rudder movement ????
Is a special gyro required for this machine ????

It looks like the aileron works in opposite direction when making a rudder input. The front swash tilts to the right and the back swash tilts to the left making it turn to the right.

Really cool those helis. Hirobos new seems to have "slightly" less complicated linkage setup, since its using a electronic TR/SV mixer.

'Hm now I just have to find out where to connect the GV1 sensor to the Jazz80 ESC.

Had the old Hirobo version with all the mechanical mixers it was a work of art .
Yaw control is achieved by mixing aileron control on the front and back swash plate.
Aileron stick to the right -banked the heli to the right ie both swash plates rolled right.

Rudder stick to the right meant the front swash rolled right and rear swash rolled left .

The new version looks a much simpler radio set up , might save my pension and have another try at tandom heli's.

Did you used 2 gyros when flying it in the pic?
One for rudder, and one for aileron!?

How "easy" is it to get bladestrikes on those?
