Taking a look at the plug should tell if you were lean for it to quit.
I've overheated an OS61WC back in the Freya days, but the tell tale sign afterwards was a smoking engine that you couldn't get close to with your fingers.
Do you have a gov. installed?
Using any pumps?
Do you have a fail safe set for throttle? If so does it go to idle, remain the same, kill the engine......
If not it sounds like a plumbing problem.
If your using muffler pressure you might double check that also for
any blockage.
I would also replace all fuel lines and double check the tank clunk and any fuel filters. Also the fuel line inside the tank can stretch with time making it possilbe for it to hang in a corner with 3D. Same goes if you have a header tank.
Lastly I would pull the carb and clean it out and make sure it makes
a good seal when placed back on the engine case.
