Hello guys.
i was wondering:
1. does anybody know of a cyclic ring that fits the Stylus well ??
2. for those of you who fly with the Stylus, how do you lay out your switches ? whats the common switch configuration (i.e. which switch do you locate where?)
3. WITHOUT the advanced feature card for helis, do you feel there is something missing the in Tx function wise ?

thanks.

1) A modified TT version 1 Raptor 30/50 tail belt pulley works well.

For more info on the cyclic ring, see: http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t20706p1/

2) I gang everything to the flight mode switch 17-18-19. Throttle hold is on 4-5. I also use 11-12 for a 5th flight mode. All switching of gyro rates, expo, dual rates, time delays, trims, pitch & throttle curves is ganged to these three switches.

For more info, see: Raptor 50 review

3) I haven't used the Stylus without the 96813 ccpm card or 96812 basic heli cards, and doubt that it would be much more powerful than an entry level radio without any card.

eric_b, did you modify the inner diameter of the R30 gear or is it perfect ?
also, can you measure the outer diameter for me ? for my 9Z i also used an R30 gear, but just cut it around the molding (like augusto suggested), i see this is not the case here.
thanks for your help !!

The inner diameter is just about perfect, and I have not modified it on mine. Cut the outer diameter to 51mm. I secured the ring with two small screws, but you could use double sided tape instead.

Just a hair over 26mm

I have no idea if rings meant for a JR or Futaba transmitter will fit a Stylus. Making your own from the Raptor pulley is really simple, cheap, and easy.
