A while back there was a lot of intrest in Card models being used for micro military fuselages. So I took a crack at making a KA-50 fuselage for my xrb. The model I bought from poland on e-bay was not very detailed and I was not happy with the color scheme so I redesigned the card model adding more detail. Pictures, developement and video can be found at this forum.

excellent work, I don't understand why XRB comes with Lama and not Kamov body - it is more "scale" solution, looking better and it is far more atractive than original.
... congratulation - good job

Thanks KC you are right tons of work would have been as easy or easier to make a plug for vacuum formed bodies but the weight is to die for. 18 grams. I would not be suprised if I have over 100hrs of work in this thing.
zapa I couldn't agree more. You live in czech so you have way better acess to card models. you havn't seen a ka-50 Halinski card model anytime recently have you?

I can image your effort, because I have made something with the karton for ECO8 - nightmare. Therefore I recently switch to the bigger scale category, where a few gram more is not an issue

zapa nice detail. no pilots for my Ka-50 it would be too heavy. I am still debating weather I should put the missles on or not

I have been out for a while following a crash with my cf blades that ripped up the soft rotor head plastic parts. So I decided to make my own balsa blades. they are more ridgid than foam so that they do not flex up too much causing blade strikes and they are not so hard that they break the rotor assemblly. They can take quite a beating and still provide excellent manoverability. I love them
