Thanks for replies guys!!

noname, did you go with Mike Wiegle heli rides? Which skiis did you use? Sugardaddy?

1UP, I wish I could go next week. They have space available but I have too much work. Besides, I just spent a week in Colorado; my fellow workers would get ticked off if I spent another week skiing.

Janek, LOL. I will try to catch the ride up the mountain, not down!!

No, I didn't go with Mike Wiegle heli rides. I went with Diamond Peaks Heli Ski Adventures.

I used to have the Sugar Daddy skis but I sold them and got some Fischer Big Stix (10.6)

They're both great but I like the Big Stix better. They're lighter and handle better in non powerdy snow.

I don't know if you've already done it or not but be sure to take an avalanche survival course before going heli skiing.

Thanks noname, good advice re avalanche survival!

I have been skiing for 40 years, about 20 -30 days per year. I have skied in New Zealand, all over the US, Europe, and the Middle East - (Iran has some pretty amazing mountains - 13,000 ft peaks - and great snow!!).

I have a healthy respect for mother nature and with all my experience, I definitely think an avalance course is a must! I even managed to get lucky and escape a small avalanche once!

I will check out the Fischer's! Thanks again.
