Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > Newbie Gyro/Servo Question?

I almost made the mistake of purchasing a CSM 540 with the 8700g servo. I liked what people had to say about the combo. It isn't until I dug a little deeper to find out the 8700g isn't compatable with my FM reciever. I was pretty mad when I found that out. I really wanted that Gyro. Now I am scared to buy anything! Anyway, I am looking at the GY401/9253 combo now. Are there any complications that I need to be worried about with an FM reciever? Can someone suggest a HH gyro that will work with my RD 6000 radio? No, it isn't the Sport or Super... Just RD6000.

Thanks,
Mark

I have the original RD6000 with the included 7 channel FM reciever and I use the Futaba GY401/9253 combo and it works great. It's easy to set up and it locks the tail so well I bet you could walk up to it and kick it and it wouldn't move (Disclaimer: I have not kicked, nor do I encourage anyone to kick, the tail of their helicopter...at least when it's running!).

The 401/9253 is a very good gyro and will work well.

Thanks for the info. I was concerned with the fact of whether or not the stupid servos are compatable with the reciever now! Never heard of such a thing...

Thanks Again,
Mark
