just installed a gy401/9253 in my ergo-30 this weekend. This combination kicks butt. Worth the $$. The tail is so stable! Now i can proceeed with my learning.

Hey Richard, just curious, what gyro did you have in it before?

JR410-T. I could not get this gyro to work very well, but i also did not have a fast servo. That probably would of corrected my problems, but purchasing a new hi-speed servo was not worth the $$ compared to the combination price of the servo+gyro. Live and learn.

I agree Richard, the GY401 & 9253 are great. I felt the same way after installing mine. Hey, this is not so hard. Enjoy!!

i spent more time installing this gyro than it took to set it up. I decided that the rear gyro deck on the Ergo-30 was too close to the engine (around 2 inches to the cooling fan) so i installed it in the front. This required that i move the battery below the servo tray and make room behind the receiver for the gyro.
It took 10 minutes to set up the radio last night. I tested the heli today at the field. Locked-solid tail. I've never experienced this. The gain is at 75% in HH mode without any wagging or drift.
