I have a problem with the slow cyclic controls on my R30. What can I do to quicken it up? Thanks!

Increase your headspeed, either buy getting your engine running correctly and/or increasing your throttle curve at mid to 3/4 stick.Jason Kalbfleisch

I hear that a set of SAB 550's in combination with KSJ paddles is supposed to really quicken things up. I just got a set of SAB's put on mine with the stock paddles, and it is defenitely an improvement. I am sure the lighter paddles will also help out. I hear (no experience in doing) that light weight paddles used with stock wood blades is not a good combination. Not sure why. Also get head speed up to 1800. Make sure you have at least 6deg deflection in aileron and elevator.
I put -15% exponential on aile and ele and it smoothed mine out in hover and fff. It was a little twichy for my flying style without it.

And I would like to know if anybody has put flybar stiffiners on the Rap 30. Does it make it even more responsive?

Make sure you are using all the travel in the swashplate, run the head speed up to 1850 and put a set of KSJ paddles on it. You will have all the cyclic power you want, maybe more than you want at first. Make sure you use the front hole in the KSJ paddles, the back holes may give you a heart attack. BTW, there is nothing wrong with using KSJ paddles and the stock wood blades. The heli will be a little pitchy in forward cyclic, but that is ture of KSJ paddles with any blade. You get use to it.

Today I asked a friend what to do about my raptor rolling real slow. He said that I could start by moving the flybar control rod to the outer holes on the washout arms. I totally forgot that I set it up on the inside holes. So I'm gonna start there then add some lighter paddles after I get used to the adjustment on the washout arms.

Thanks for all the help. I moved my flybarlinks to the outer holes and tuned up the engine. It does flips and rolls fine now, but I think I will still get the KJS paddles. Unfortunatly my tail pitch slider cracked and then unscrewed itself in flight causing me to auto it into a bush. This is my first nitro heli. I have some E's though.
