This is a pic of my Avenger, it has a new os .25 I saw a couple of guys flying combat with 25-30 ft. stringers off the back of their planes, the goal is:
to cut the other guys stringers, as much off as possible,
to launch within the thirty sec. time, and stay airbore for the entire 5 min fight.

Cool huh?
I haven't got to fight with it yet, I am still too new of a airplane pilot, but as a s.i.g goes, those guys are pretty cool, very willing to help out and teach, but once your in the air, its every man for himself

I fly combat also. Our club use Battle Floyds as our main combat flyers. It is something else to fly when I have the need to smash into another plane

My Battle Floyd is outfitted with a MVVS .26 w/tuned pipe, standard servos and a FM Rx.

How many local guys there fly?
There are at least eight here in the kc area, one of them a national champ. We are going to try and have a meet here in KC maybe this year.
You got a pic of that battle floyd?
The avenger is designed the same way, to survive mid airs and prop strikes. But we all know, thats what makes it fun.

On our club we do that too, but we don't use streamers, the rules are the last one flying wins .

Our club is really a plank club, however, since I've joined back in 1988, the presence of heli flyers have been an acceptable thing.

There are at least six or seven combat flyers.

I like last one flying wins, but the problem with that is someone always hangs back at half throttle waiting for everyone else to fight and land when their out of fuel, the rules here are on a piont basis, points for launching within first thirty, points for cutting other's streamers, and staying up for the full time. That way, you have to fight if you want to win.

We have no problems with those who come up to play. If they hang back, we go after them. Forces them to understand that if you want to play, you must pay the price.

SPADS

We,my two brothers and myself and anyone who wants to fly to take each other completely out and it is real cheap and lots of fun.We put two dogfighters together this weekend and we would fly around and six or seven would shoot at them with paintball guns. One got the wing ripped from a couple of shots and the other one ended up with green yellow and blue spots all over the under side.

Those who fly only half throttle are easy targets .
