Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > gyro, tail servo, glow plug and fuel

Hello,

I placed an order for a Three Dee NT and now, I'm trying to acquire all the electronics. I have some hesitation for a few parts.

1) In the French manual, it is proposed to use as gyro either a CSM SL560 or a GY601. As nobody as experience with one of those, I would appreciate your advice.

2) Those two tail servos are proposed : (French manual) S9253, 2kg/cm, .08s or (English manual) S9250, 3.8kg/cm, 11s.

3) Are you using 0% or 1% of nitro with the OS91 + Lötterle carb.?

4) Is there an equivalent OS glow plug to the advised ENYA 4?

5) Are you using another battery, than the suggested one? (e.g. Sanyo 2100mAh, or NiMh that fits in the Three Dee NT)

Thank you for your help and take good care

hope i can help

for a gyro, hands down a futaba GY601 with the servo that comes with it, its the best on the planet.
i used os #8, and a sub C nimh 3000mah 4 cell pack fits nicely in the suggested position
i cant offer any reasonable advise on the fuel as im in the US and used a CSPEC with a heim crank and lots of nitro
regards rick
by the way im selling a new gyro reciever and governor in the electronics section

1) 560 Micro

2) Futaba 9254 (faster than the 9251 with the 601)

3) Methanol Straight with 12% EDL no Nitro

4) OS8 is pretty close and what I use

5) Using SCRC2400 sanyo pack in mine.. It sticks up but fits fine...

Use the GY601 and is indeed the best on the planet
Sanyo 1700 mAh battery placed under the receiver (good for 4 flights)

DON’T USE THE 2100 NIMH battery this is NOT made for hi power.
This battery is capable to deliver 2Amp if you pull more (4Amp) the voltage will drop in a second. When you start pulling on the sticks the voltage will drop at ±3,8 volt.
This was recorded in a X-Cell Fury (sorry) using digital servo’s

Engine is the Os FX 91 HGL but I do not use the lotterle Carb but an Os 60B three-needle carb.
And I run on hi nitro (cool power 30%) with the OS8 plug

By the way the 9250 has 5,5 kg/cm 0,08 sek/45° (Info from Robbe)
The other servo 9254 is faster but the electronics from the 601 are faster than a 401 or 502
So I don’t know the result from this combo with the 401 or 502

Hi,

Gyro: Why not a GY401? In our community we have 6 NT's - all with this Gyro. It's small an precise
Tail Servo: I had two 9250 - both burnt down after a very short time, the 9253 is ok, if you have the new tail blade holders. The best choice is maybe the new 9254
Fuel: RD Contest 5% Nitro, 12% oil with a Lötterle carb and 1.5 ° needle (standard). We prefer 5% Nitro due to a better idle adjustment
Plug: I can't see (hear) any difference between the OS and the Enya
Battery: Sanyo 2300 AUP, more capacity and able to handle higher loads

Best regards

Gero

Location: 10000 is enough time wasted.

but the 401 is a midrange gyro tthat doesn't
really have the kind of constant rate piro quality
that the 601 or 560 does.

Besides, w/ the new 560Micro, the size issue
is taken away.

OS8 is close to E4.
