I like a few other people on here have moved out of the dark. I have had the worst time getting anything done. My servo tray has stress cracks in it as does my landing gear frame. Century says to send it in and I do. Well I waite 2 weeks and nothing. So I waste another long distant call to find out what the deal is. So after being put on hold for 20 minutes to find out the problem they tell me it is crash damage. And can't do anything for me. So I hang up the phone and get online and order the parts to fix my heli.(place an order) Well here it is one week later and still no parts. So here is another 25 minute long distant call to find out that my order has not been processed yet because my credit card is not going through.(same card I buy gas with every day) So I had them cancel that order and called ricks. And I asked Dennis to send me my (crashed) parts back a week ago. (no parts yet) This really ticks me off. I have sold my P-max. As soon as I get some parts anyway. If They would have replaced the parts and sent them to me they would have a loyal customer. But since they SUCK so bad they have lost all my money. Im going to but a new 90 sized machine next week. So I'm in the market guys , let me know what you got.

And you guys keep insisting that it is the same 3 or 4 people

Having had a bad transaction with them in the past, I'll keep my mouth shut about it(read: avoiding the cheerleaders) but I must say that I think it is interesting that there is sooooooo many different complaints about the same company's customer service.

Question for the cheerleaders: when was the last time there was even one complaint about Rick's ? or maybe Heliproz. Maybe one or two but not like this.............

You guys should visit Century's headquarters! You'll meet the most grumpiest people ever! Wait 20 mins in front of the counter for a grumpy old guy to show some attitude. "I can't do anything without a part number" he says. "May I borrow your manuals please?" (they have a collection under the counter) He'll give you the manual with that f*&^off look. Try borrowing their phone to call your buddy's local number to get the part numbers and you'll likely have the same response. Not all employees are a$$e$, there are a few guys who are okay though....

Hey if you want that old grump that sits nearest the door to give you attention ASAP, just pick up one of the magazines for sale and start reading!

I have never met the Century that you guys keep complaining of. If I had I would have sold my stuff and flown a different brand by now.

Either one of us lieing or there is a serious Dr. Jeckly & Mr. Hyde complex going on here........ There is a couple of guys that are indeed lacking in customer skills. But, if you own one of their helis you should have the manual and know what you need. Just order it from Rick's, Dreamhobbies, or wherever. Otherwise, just give them the part #s you want and keep flying.

Anyhow, do what you got to do. It's your money....

I'm going to continue enjoying my Century stuff.

newpilot,

Hey new pilot,

Good luck on finding your dream helicopter.

Based on my readings off Runryder, your next best bet is either a Freya X-spec or Fury Extreme.

The amount of customer service you'll get buying a Raptor would be similar to Century (so I wouldn't go there if I were you). JR's customer service is reputedly awesome, however, their best current heli is now the Vigor CS (Sylphide is out of my price range), so that's out. I know a guy named Greg who's very happy with his Vigor, so just because it's an old design doesn't necessarily mean anything. But, I can't help but wonder if they will drop it soon for something else to spur sales and what not.

Robbe makes some awesome helis (Milli 2 and Futura Nova and Cuatro). However, since the company is based in Europe, getting parts may become hard. Same goes with 3DNT, except that it IS hard to get a hold of one right now.

Freya X-spec is a good heli, and reputedly customer service is great thanks to Jeff Green. It is more expensive. Hopefully it will be worthwhile for you.

And if all else fails, there's always the Fury Extreme.

Those are your choices. If I were you, I'd try the X-Spec first.

You wouldn't want to buy anything from me, I've got all Century helis

Anyways, good luck with your next great heli purchase. Let us know how it goes.

Jimmy

"Either one of us lieing or there is a serious Dr. Jeckly & Mr. Hyde complex going on here........ There is a couple of guys that are indeed lacking in customer skills"

Contradicting sentences?

No one is lying. A significant number of people have already reached a consensus (including you).
The point is, as you said:
"There is a couple of guys that are indeed lacking in customer skills."
Leave it at that.

No complaints with my pred or ordering from century here,
They sent me the upgrade "A" arm for no cost and I wasn't the original owner Thats pretty good customer service in my book. I wasn't even an existing customer in their book, I bought the heli used and hadn't ever ordered parts for it, they just took my word for it that I owned a pred. and sent the arm.
