Where can I see the Robbe gassers ??, I can't seem to find them !! ( post links please),,, I can see why my friends like the Robbes glowers, but why don't hear more about the gassers ??

I dont think the future is Robbe gas. since 80-90 size is released, actually its same heli, with less weight, with lots of power, so why to have a gas engine? for the costs of the fuel? reliability?
if you maintain your heli correct, no engine cuts, and if you maintain it badly, you will have engine problems even if it a gas.
also all radio problems, so too many things to take care.
mostly people like to fly aerobatics, so Glow is much better, its lighter.
If you look at new heli Vision-x, its 90 size, 4.3 kg, what do you need more?

The last Robbe gasser was the Futura Gold. I have the conversion parts for it, hoping to put into a Futura SE which has been done before but is not a drop in fit. I am now trying to figure out whether to redesign the engine mount to make it fit the SE perfect or just wait for the Cuarco and gas conversion. I'm sure the Cuarco will be a bank breaker, assuming $1200 plus probably another $250 at least for the conversion, not including the inevitable upgrade to carbon frames. Then I'm sure it won't include good blades in the kit either, and 800 blades will certainly not be cheap.

I spoke to Paul and was surprised when he told me the Cuarco will be only in the stretch version using 800 blades. I had originally thought the new kit would be simply a beefed up and regeared nova, with an option for the long boom/800's/slow gearing. I'd be really suriprised if a 800 blade machine running at what, 1500 rpm(?) will be 3D competitive but what do I know. I still wonder and am anxiously awaiting the release of the kit and the subsequent feedback in forums like these. It will take me a while before I get off the dime and get my SE gas conversion done, so we'll wait and see what I end up doing. We should see the Cuarco kits here in the US by June (not many of them either).

I sure hope Robbe gets their US supply up to speed, I understand they will only make 200 Kits in 2002. That's pretty weak, compared to what XCell is doing. Heck, if the XCell fury gas comes out first that might end the discussion right there. I have a NIB hanson engine just waiting for a good home.

Futura SE 1.8 Gasser.

I have one coming from Finland in a few days....

Can't wait.
A few weeks ago I found them at this site.

They had the Furura SE with a Zenoah engine listed. Now they are only showing the picture of the gasser. Send them an email to see if they still do them.

I am very curious as to how they put that together, keep in touch if you don't mind. I'd sure like to see a picture of the frame/engine mount/ belt setup on this thing you are getting.
