| use auto here... no problemsI setup all my batteries (nimh/nicd) for manual mode, but tend to use auto because of the 'one push' ease-of-use. I've been charging batteries for about six months and all continue to peak above their rated capacity. I cycle them several times a week. Based on this personal experience, I tend to disagree with the analogy to the chevy idiot lights. I tend to believe these idiot lights were created by some pretty smart electrical engineers. If I wanted to use manual mode all of the time, I wouldn't have spent the extra money and bought a supernova.
Then again, maybe six months isn't long enough. Maybe the potential abuse I'm giving my batteries by using this feature won't start showing up until much later.
By then I'll probably move on to duralite's... |
