I've been trying like mad to get 14 to booleen two wings together. I'm lost on this one. I know 14 will do it. Just can't figure what I'm missing.

Heres the scoop. I've drawn an airfoil shape using a spline. copied the airfoil.

extruded one along a path, (the goal is an eliptical wing. )

then extruded the other airfoil straight.

So now I have two objects, one curved and the other straight.

the error messege is that the faces won't combine.

anyone with ANY input would be helpfull

The command is UNION or SOLUNION to join the two sections

sometimes when working with solids and extruding and boolean you will get these errors and they are a SOB to get around. alot of times it requires finding which one is causing it and redrawing that one part. i have seen it several times and it usually ends up being a small error in one of the parts you are trying to join. especially at corners. zoom way in on all the corners to see if there is some wierd looking geometry if there is it will cause the problem.

Yeah, that is the type of error I'm getting. The hard part here is that these parts (just two) are curved and tappered. I've taking a break for the time being, till I can rethink what I can do to create the object I'm looking for.
