Picked up my first 3DNT today and its in brilliant condition, but would like to make the canopy just that little bit different from the normal yellow or black ones.

Where is the best place to get a 3DNT canopy sprayed in the UK ?

Have ask Arizonaheli if they can do it but I will have to supply the canopy. ie. ship it out there, which will make things expensive.

Any ideas or examples ???

If you have the yellow or black canopy start painting yourself.
Sand the canopy with 600 or 800 grit paper (don’t sand to deep just touch it)
Use isolation tape to masker before you spray paint don’t use the paper tape
Start with the light colours fist and work to the darker colours.
The last is the clear coat. If you have a airbrush use two components clear coat. This will be the most fuel proof.

If you have one with the carbon canopy you have e little problem. This canopy will show a lot of little (pin) holes after painting. This is because there are little holes between the strings of the carbon weave used in the canopy.
The option is than several clear coats to close these holes (painting / sanding 4 to 5 times)
before setting the other colours. Or you can use colour tapes to make something nice.

A member at the club did mine and apparantly they can be a pain to strip down etc , but he has done an excellent job and I am well pleased. Believe he uses two pack , even the screen is in a two tone effect which changes colour in the sun , although not tested this in the uk yet
