What is a good plank to learn on. I have been playing with them on Realflight and have decided to add one to my collection of helis. I was thinking of getting an Aircore 40 any suggestions on a better one or negative comments on the aircore. I will be teaching myself as I did with helis with the assistnce of realflight.

I bought mine from Towerhobbies. They have lots of planks that are priced nicely. They are about the only ones that I have bought from (planks). Shipping is pretty cheap and you get the stuff fast. I have an Avistar II http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXK970&P=0. It is a great plane. If you can afford it go with a 60 size Avistar http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXCSY9&P=0. Great planes to learn on. The Nexstar that was mentioned is suppose to be real nice too. That one comes with Realflight and from what I have read people love them because they are easy to land. Hope that helps you out.

If you're already flying helis, getting a trainer will not be fun enough ... get at least something like the Ultra Stick (from www.horizonhobby.com) and if possible ask someone to help you out in the first few flights.

If you insist on a trainer, I suggest you get an Avistar from tower hobbies.

BTW, I started flying helis and successfully made my first solo with a Super Stick on my first flight (I had an instructor standing right besides me).

Sticks kick ass...No cowl, wheelpants,or retracts to mess with. All they do is fly good.

If you've never flown planks before a stick will be to much for you. IMHO
I second the Avistar - it's sort of a hot trainer or a cold sport plank.
