I have just got some 680mm main blades from Funkey to fit to my raptor 60. They come with a brass insert which makes them 4mm or 5mm without.The supplier say's its OK to fit them without the brass insert.
Has anyone done this and is it safe?

I bought some for my Shuttle and I needed to insert the brass insets to make the holes 3mm, I never bothered, but one blade kept flexing more than the other - not good, in the end I chucked them.

I think mine were just a set of bad blades

FunKey Blades?

I have a set for my R-22 (600's) and I had to remove the inserts. I tried to drill the first one.......no good! Then I realized I could use the drill bit as a "press" and walla! The insert just slid right out with no trouble at all, I guess putting one in would be as easy if you used a press.

Funkey

Yes you should be fine. I believe the inserts are there to allow the use of the blades in different applications.

I've rebuilt this raptor 3 times now due to one thing or another just a bit shell shocked.What's that quote "A thousand parts desperately trying to part company with each other" It is FUN though!!
