| Because the relationship of the two blades is fixed by the feathering plate. The tracking adjustment merely tilts the feathering plate so that the pitch of each blade is the average of the two grips.
What happens after tracking the blades (one with a 4 degree grip and the other with a 6 degree grip) is that the feathering plate assumes a 1 degree tilt, decreasing the pitch of the blade with a 6 degree grip to 5 degrees and the increasing the pitch of the blade with a 4 degree grip to 5 degrees.
