| This is a copy of a post int the main discussion posted by a friend of mine. Does anyone have any ideas? Max pitch is now up to 15deg and the climbout is great but , can't get this much on the negative side.
Lets hear it from all the Pros.
Today on a friend's Raptor 50.
OS .50 on 30% CP and hurricane 600s.
The main blade pitch at top end reads +12 degrees as measured on several different pitch gauges.
When you punch out for max. vertical climb, the MR rpms hold a steady 2,000 Rs.
But, the chopper is not climbing out nearly as fast as it used to.
We thought maybe the blades under load were not going to the full 12 degrees.
The collective servo seems to still have plenty of torque and no linkage seemed to be binding anywhere.
Tonight he is pulling MB grips to clean/check/relube thrust bearings and we will do further flight check tomorrow.
Any thoughts from yawl as to what we might be missing?
Thanks for any ideas.
