Hi,

The wires with the Hacker B50 motors are really short and there are no wires from the esc, do you just solder the motor wires straight into the esc connectors (remove them first ) Looks like it will be a really tight fit and bend on the wires like this ?

Is anyone using this combo and got some pics, please.

Thanks

Simon.

Yep - I just soldered the Hacker wires to the male pins and plugged them in to the females on the ESC. They made it short by design to minimize interference from the noisey side of the ESC board. Just mount the ESC at whatever angle works or let it hang - that way it gets good circulation of air to keep temps down. There have been lots of photos posted with that config using a variety of ESC's and the Hacker.

Thanks Raytor

The Hacker motors have about 10-15mm of bare wire can you trim this to fit the esc plugs or is that not a good idea and just solder the ends in and cover the remaining bare wire with some heatshrink ?

I trimmed the excess - just be absolutely sure to leave youself some tinned wire to solder to - the insulating coating on the Hacker wires is tough to remove properly. I went ahead and slipped spaghetti insulation over the Hacker wires just in case they got scuffed in a crash (like that ever happens )
