Cookie Bear Heliman Location: Wellington, New Zealand
| Orientation: The problem I have is picking up the roll attitude when coming out of a manoeuvre fast, because the fuselage has no "height". In viewing directions where the different colours don't show (shadow) the heli looks symmetrical in the roll axis, so its hard to see one "wing" low. I've got reflector tapes on the rotor blade tips, which help in certain light angles but only about 25% of the time.
I'm still trying to decide on a high-contrast paint scheme for my all-yellow canopy. At present I am thinking a black windscreen and white underneath, with original yellow in the rear. This should give a high-contrast black/white border along the front half of the canopy, about 1/2-way up. Has anyone done anything like this? Cheers, Cookie. |
