Orientation: The problem I have is picking up the roll attitude when coming out of a manoeuvre fast, because the fuselage has no "height". In viewing directions where the different colours don't show (shadow) the heli looks symmetrical in the roll axis, so its hard to see one "wing" low. I've got reflector tapes on the rotor blade tips, which help in certain light angles but only about 25% of the time.

I'm still trying to decide on a high-contrast paint scheme for my all-yellow canopy. At present I am thinking a black windscreen and white underneath, with original yellow in the rear. This should give a high-contrast black/white border along the front half of the canopy, about 1/2-way up. Has anyone done anything like this? Cheers, Cookie.

My favorite colour scheme is Orange on top, yellow underneath and white in the middle.

Hey Andy, what's that silly looking horizontal bit about two-thirds up the boom then

If you want to make things harder, then just get hold of a carbon canopy to play with

It 'forces' the senses to be sharpened - either that, or the wallet to be flattened

Cheers
Richard.

Darren
That idea of black screen, yellow behind and white underneath looks interesting. The sharp edge of white all the way along the canopy centreline must be effective in seeing the attitude in the roll plane. Maybe I'll try something like this. It's not unlike my previous heli's, but I've used red instead of yellow which contrasts more sharply with white. But it seems a shame to cover up ALL the yellow, because the finish is so good. Djandyling - your red right through the underneath is another attractive option. Thanks to all for your contributions. Cheers, Martyn

Dr Lodge, Would you please post a photo - I'd like to see what this looks like! Is the screen white or black? Cheers, Martyn

HI Martyn

If you go for a colour scheme like mine be carfull because I have great problems when inverted trying to work out how much the helicopter is tilted to the left or right. I think I made a mistake painting the skid plates the same color, as inverted its all orange.

I think my next color scheme is going to be like the 3dnt picture at the back of the manual like this

OR you could wait for the classic, I will be posting some pictures very soon
