Gordon Tietjens' team has beaten Fiji in the final 33-15, scoring five tries to three.
Two late tries from Brad Fleming secured the result for the host side.
Captain Matua Parkinson is elated.
He says they were written off before the tournament started and he couldn't be prouder of his side.
The victory puts New Zealand on top of the World Series points table after three tournaments.
The next tournament is in Los Angeles next week.
Meanwhile the Blues have beaten Queensland 21-8 in their Super 12 warm-up game in Brisbane.
Reds first five Julian Huxley broke his jaw in the game and is now set to miss the entire season.
