I used the Magnetic Mayhem Reverse by Kyosho way back when I first started flying the eco. It runs well and fairly cool. The Ikarus supplied Motors (Sport and Performance) dont hold up as well as others. Brushless is where you want to end up-so much nicer and no maintenance. However, with the brushed MMR you have pretty good power for a 25 dollar motor.

8 cell it will last a long time. on 10 cells dont go over 14 teeth. I used to replace mine after ca. 50 flights if I was really careful in keeping it cool and treating it nice.
