| I was attempting to start up my Raptor yesterday and accidentally flooded the engine. (ie I knew b/c the starter locked up). After removing the glow plug and clearing the cylinder I tried again. Now it would turn (slowly and with some resistance),however both the main and tail gears attempted to rotate. My first guess was that something was wrong with the clutch so I dropped the engine and checked it. The shoes of the clutch were not "sprung," in fact they still looked new. I also inspected the one way bearing and that appeared ok as well. My question is, "If the clutch liner clearances were fine the day before (and I assume they still are), what is causing the malfunction? Did I warp the start shaft somehow? I'm kindof stumped
In the mean time I went ahead and ordered a brand new clutch, bell, liner, and assorted bearings in hopes of curing this problem. With any luck it will be here by this weekend!
Any positive suggestions are greatly appreciated!
