| Yes, you are right C stands for capacity so it means for 3300mAh pack 1C = 3300mAh = 3,3Ah.
Therefore when instruction manual says that maximum discharge rate for 3300mA batteries is 5C it means maximum discharge rate you can(should) use is 5 x 1C = 5 x 3,3A = 16,5A. If you discharge more you can damage or shorten lifetime of your batteries (in helis we often do :-).
Same apply for charging so you can read very often on your battery something like "maximum fast charge rate 1C" instead of "maximum fast charge rate 3,3A".
This "C" has nothing to do with physical battery size where AA, AAA, C, SC stands for the battery outline dimensions. |
