I dont think the Fun600-17 would be a good combo with an 8s2p HV setup. First of all the HS will be insainly high ( around 3100 RPM ) with the smallest pinion avilable for a 5mm shaft (13 tooth). If you want to use the 8s2p HV setup you have to find a motor that will give you a reasonable RPM, preferably with the smaller pinions, and can handle the voltage(typically larger motors such as the Kontronik Tango or the Hacker B50-__XL). The Fun600-17 would probably be better with a 5s3p pack and a 13 tooth pinion; the HS will be just under 2000 RPM.
Oh and if you are curious as to where all these numbers are comming from, there is a very useful spread sheet on the Ezone that you can play with. It has just about all the popular brushless motor stats, and battery types used in our models. All you have to do is play with it.
Here is more info:

Oh and here's a little info about the 600-17. It spins at 1630 RPM/volt, it weighs 250 grams. |
